How to delete your data

This page explains the concrete steps to request deletion of your data from Dimel. What data we process, and why, is in the privacy notice.

There are two different situations and the steps are not the same. Start with whichever one is yours.

If you messaged a business that uses Dimel on WhatsApp

You are that business's customer, not ours. The business decides what data about you it keeps; we provide the tool.

  1. Ask the business directly. That is the fastest route: they can handle it themselves and they are the ones with a relationship with you.
  2. If you would rather ask us, write to tomgdev2@gmail.com with these two details:
    • the WhatsApp number you messaged from;
    • the name of the business you messaged.
    Without both we cannot tell what to delete: the same number may have messaged several different businesses, and each one keeps its own records separately.

What gets deleted: your messages with that business, your contact record, and the orders, appointments and notes linked to your number within that business.

Timeframe: we reply in writing within 30 days at most, and usually much sooner.

If you own a business that uses Dimel

Write to tomgdev2@gmail.com from the email address the account was registered with and ask to close it. We ask for that because it is what lets us confirm that whoever is asking to delete the account is entitled to ask.

What gets deleted: the entire business — WhatsApp conversations, customers, orders, appointments, tickets, inventory, panel users and the account's audit log.

Timeframe: within 90 days.

What is kept, and why

If anything is unclear

Write to tomgdev2@gmail.com and we will answer. No legal wording needed: just tell us what you want deleted and from which number or account.
